Well friggen hell, I was all geared up to order my 18.5" this weekend and now I find this! I work on the road out of my camper 3-8 weeks at a time and thought the 18" might be a little much for just me. A 14" would probably be just right for grilling but I am concerned about smoking shoulders on the smaller being too hot or doing pizza
 
I haven't tried a shoulder on my mini, but I have done a whole chicken and a pork butt, you can keep it at temp easy, 230-250 for hours is a breeze
 
Chris --- my understanding was the $199 price point was an introductory offer. So, $219 would seem about 'right' if that's the case.
But I also agree with you --- 199, 299, 399 makes more sense.
 
I have spoken with my ACE Dealer and was told by 2 different dealers they ship On Oct. 1 and was provided this pic of the 14.5"
