Is anyone else loving 2016 meat prices? I'm loving it. My son called me (texted) and said $1.49 do you want one, I said heck yeah why not.

I got up at 6AM and trimmed it up and rubbed it down

I won't bore you with the cook, but I mopped it three times using 2 cups apple juice 1 cup rum and 1 cup dark brown sugar. The crust was spot on 10 hours later, here it is going into the foil for a nap, some 10+ hours after putting it on. I used Kingsford Applewood, and I had a real hard time keeping the pit below 300 degrees, all the lower vents closed tight an it still roared away at 275/300. The Applewood charcoal is really nice, but it cooks hot

After a little over one hour nap

I don't know if it was the Rum in the mop or the Applewood charcoal, but the cats were going crazy for this and normally they could careless for everything but Chicken & Turkey. As you can see, bone came out clean

Nobody wanted sliders, so we just had it on tortilla and I had mine with the homemade BBQ sauce from my CSR's cook the week prior. I've got to tell you, that sauce is the bomb, especially after a week's rest. Very tasty. Now I'm not sure I would change anything about that BBQ sauce now. Cats & Dog love it too, really surprised the cats got into it being pork and all

I'm looking forward to my son frying some of this up like he does, I bet it'll be amazing. Not good for your heart, but great for your mouth

Looks great Chuck , we picked up some picnics at $.99 a pound and butts were $1.29 but my freezers are full.
Have you checked your PMs?

Outstanding cook Chuck. Yes the prices are great but like Rich said we are all out of space. I know start cooking and make room right.

Got a pork roast today on sale for a whopping $1.99 a lb. Cant wait to fix it on my new cooker coming tomorrow.
Hope that it comes out as good as yours did Chuck.
