Snowpocalypse 2019

Well 24 hours go we went from 0" of snow to 30" of snow. Have had a bit of a break. However we are supposed to get 7"-10" more inches this afternoon. Currently it is 11° and freezing fog. I did manage to get a cook on the Blackstone in right before the dump started.

Simple veggie stir fry and shrimp fried rice. Blackstone performed perfectly and I can't wait to use it more.

Notice the amount of snow in this photo.

Turned out great! I should've made twice as much of the rice as it was gone.

So lets fast forward to the next morning... By day break we had 15" of snow. By the mid day 30".

Nice simple cook, looks great Case. We went through that last week but compared to you we just got a partly 23" and temps as low as 9*. It's not melting very fast though which is unusual, usually for the most part it's gone in one or two days, not this time.

My kind of cook, but not my kind of weather :)

Yeah we get this every once in a while. Almost no snow all winter then this wallop! Supposed to get 7"-10" more today. Might hit above 20° if we are lucky. I wont expect it to melt off anytime soon, cold and snow all week.

Gonna fire up the BS again tonight. Thinking smash burgers. We shall see!

Nice cook for a snowy day. Looks like ya got buried.
We got lots of snow here in the last few weeks. Complete turn around from last winter.

Your dedication is admirable. In the UK people can't get to work after about 2 inches of snow let alone cooke outside!

Another awesome cook! I'd enjoy one huge snowfall like that... and then move-on to Spring :)

Thank you!

Yeah I'm over it. Usually after 2-3 days of shoveling snow its time for it to go. Unfortunately we could get 7"-10" more Tuesday, and 6"-10" Saturday. Temps not above freezing until next weekend.

Awesome pics and cook Case...admire your dedication! I miss living up north. A little.

Thank you! Yeah I've lived my entire life in Oregon. Most of it on the snowy side, and part of it on the rainy side. I prefer the snowy side, most of the time!

I'd like to visit North Carolina again so I could go to the Coinjock Marina Restaurant. The Captains Cut 32oz prime rib is a too die for feast! I ate on that thing for three days!
