    ATC Reccomendation

The DigiQ DX2 is a solid unit. To get remote monitoring, I'm using my Maverick along with it too. You can also use a "Baby Monitor" with video for about $50. ATC lets me do an overnight cook without the worry and doing cat naps to make adjustments.

I ordered a 18.5" cooking grate but it seems a bit thin and flimsy. Is there an after market great that's a bit more stout? Thanks Van

    Quick question

Try to monitor the cookers temp as well as the meats temp keep the cooker at 225-250 Deg F and when the meat hits 190 Deg F pull it out and let it rest for an hour wrapped in tin foil. After that. Use a couple of large forks to shread it apart. Eat well!

    Work Work Work...

I like pork shoulders, yum. They are easy and taste great. The first Brisket I did was great. I used the BBQ Pit boy’s procedure and recipe. From there I’ve changed the recipe a bit. I did not use apple cider vinegar and added the added soy sauce and Worchester sauce. Just wraped the brisket...

I just cleaned up the grates and the water pan in the smoker when it dawned on me. I just had the best Thanksgiving diner, EVER!!! If it wasn't for this site and the folks here, my great cooking day would not have taken place. Thank you!!! Your brother in Christ Van

Accidentally turning knobs on my Genesis E-330

No, you are not dumb and I'll tell you why. You are learning what you need, to be safe. The fact that you are concerned is a good thing here. It shows a good amount of common sense. You should turn off the gas at the tank when you are done for the day. This is why you are not dumb. A long time...
