    Weber Family Portraits

Here's my deck two years ago... Just replace the black OTS with a green mastertouch in your mind. Also, check out the cabinet and WSM stand

    Now I own 2 Q 2x0s!

Nothin' wrong with having 2 Q's. Sounds like my story - bought a new 220, then found a $20 CL with cart and hose.

Royal Oak "Steak House" Lump Charcoal

Menards has been carrying this for about a year now, and I've used it with no complaints.

How many Weber charcoal starter cubes....

I use one as well, with a layer of briqs in the bottom of the chimney and lump filling the top 2/3's. The coals are usually ready in about 10 minutes.

    Weber Poultry Roaster...

I've used mine on the WSM and the 22" Kettle with no problems. Cleanup's real easy, and has others have said, it's easier to pull the bird off both the grill and the rooster than the usual wire holder.

What are YOU smoking this weekend?

It's 11:30 at night in MN, 45? outside, hockey highlights on the TV, cold beer in hand, dog sleeping at my feet, and 16#'s of pork butt just went on the smoker. And the furnace just kicked in… again.

No new Smokey Joe colors for 2009

I'd love to see a robin egg blue or 60's avocado green kettle and SJ. I just like that retro looking stuff. I wonder if the problem here in the US is lack of mass desire. We all know Weber is worth the little extra, but what % of the population is going to pay $35-40 for a colored SJ over...

    Twin Cities BBQ accessories?

Last weekend I noticed Sportsman's Warehouse started carrying Weber, and even had some WSM's on the shelf for $279. Most ACE, Home Depot, etc stores (even Target!) can special order a WSM for about $250. I'd use Chris's Amazon link at $199. Menards carries Royal Oak, both lump and briq...

    Twin Cities BBQ accessories?

I'll try. I actually live within two miles of Gerten's, so I've never really had to look around. *Most "hearth and home" type fireplace stores sell nicer grills and accessories, find one close to you and give them a call. *Warner Stellen sells Weber grills, but I can't remember if they have...

Return of the 26 3/4" Kettle

I might want one, if the boss will let me. I've actually never had a brand new kettle before. The first one was a had-me-down from the in-laws (since passed to others in the family) and both current kettles were craigslist finds.

    New WSMs for 2009

In some ways I'm not surprised by all this. After all, I finally bought my WSM this spring, so OF COURSE they are finally going to put in some major upgrades. But it's OK, I still like mine. I'm just glad to see Weber is investing the money they're making off the new gas grill lines and...

    Beginner's Guide?

Don't forget Weber's Charcoal Grilling (the Art of Cooking Over Live Fire) cookbook. The first chapter is several hints, tips, and techniques for charcoal setup, and general cooking.

Master Touch vs OTG one in the same?

Just keep checking CL, eventually one pops up. That's how I just got mine ($50 + 65 mile round trip = $70) It's nice having the built-in lid holder and lid thermometer. And now my OTS will be passed on to some friends. They bought a house and still need a grill, might as well start 'em out...

    Performer? Gas Assist?

I don't think it has the gas assist. At least it's missing the 5 gal tank that would be in front of the storage bin

    Meat Grinder

We have the Kitchenaid grinder attachment, and it works well enough. We mostly use it in the fall during hunting season (I butcher my own, and she even helps - what a woman )

Tri Tip Purchase Success in Maryland !

Finally tracked down some tri's up here, then used Jack's Tequila Lime recipe with a reverse sear. Add in some spanish rice, them's good eats. The wife said it's a keeper, so I think she kinda liked it.

    son's 1st grill-out

One of the things I look forward to when the wife and I have kids is teaching them how to grill, bbq, & smoke. It's actually the reason I keep the Smokey Joe!

    Recommendation for a #2 grill

I'll second the Q recommendation - that's the same logic why I bought mine. The bonus is it's "portable" (to a point - don't plan on carrying it around all day) The only warning is it might have trouble maintaining heat in winter, if you live it the "great white north."
