    molded spark box comes loose

How do you repair the molded ceramic spark box when it comes loose from its support. I see this often. There has to be a fix. I have been doing this for years and have always just bought new ones when this happens.

Spirit S210 NG - Convert or keep NG

Personally, I have refurbished about 400 Webers and found that anytime a grill was used as charcoal you would have to replace the manifold, the heat from charcoal burning and flames burns the any of the rubber gaskets on the valves and can cause a leak, plus it seems that the fire box's tend to...

    Summit 470 built-in

That is what I suggested to them too. I refurbished the 470 for them, all ne everything but suggested they consider selling the 470 and purchasing one made specifically a a built in, they have a contractor building the outdoor kitchen.

    Summit 470 built-in

Have a question, I have a customer who asked me if it is possible to convert their Weber summit 470 from a stand alone to a Built-in? I said that's something I'm not willing to do myself but I'm not sure if it can be done, has anyone tried that before.

    Weber warranty

The worst are the spirit ii and Genesis ii, most of the rust out on the bottom slats and front and rear frame, not to mention the firebox warps, I have seen several of them. I just tell people know who ask me about Weber to avoid any of those models, they are just cheap junk. My current project...

    Weber warranty

I have been buying or picking up from the side of roads webers and refurbishing and reselling for about 6 years now and have done at the least 500 of almost all. Within the last year by word-of-mouth people have asked me to do warranty work on theirs. I would show the customer how to register...

Ok got tired of the same ole flippers...gunna try the big leagues...what do I have here?

Love those summit rebuilds, nothing tests your patience more than these great big beasts. In saying that, I am starting on my 4th summit refurb today. This one is an 2011 S-470 NG SS. I purchased it for $100, previous owner bought it in Pittsburgh before moving here in Florida and thought he...

    Finished this refurb 1975 Kettle

I had originally posted for $170 with all new grates. However I went ahead and put the original charcoal grate back and reduced to $150. The original cooking grate actually isn't in bad condition so I may clean it up and put it back, plus reduced the price then. One thing I noticed about the...

    Finished this refurb 1975 Kettle

About as far as I am going to go on this one. Did not replace the handle on the lid, might consider doing that Monday but not today. I could not buff out the stain underneath, not even sure what that is or maybe just because it is 47 years old it is just there. I did replace the charcoal grate...

    Refurbing 1975-76 kettle

About to finish the refurb on this old kettle but was thinking. Do I buy the hinged grates for this or just the straight grates? What was used in the 70's? Do I keep as original as possible or update with hinged? What are the thoughts of all of you?

Picked this up today for $25!

It has been a long time since I posted or commented on here, although read the threads at least weekly. This grill here would make # 450 for me since I started refurbishing Weber's in 2018. I picked this one up in Pensacola for $25 and it is in amazing, although dirty condition. If I am...

Thank you, yes it has been a while since my last post but I do check in occasionally to see what is happening. Already researching handles. Found a few nice ones. But defiantly trying to stay to as original as possible.

Beautiful Red Kettle I picked up for free

I have been refurbishing Webers now for 3 years, in those three years I have worked on and rebuilt at least 400. 50 of them so far this year. So occasionally I come across one that gets me so excited I have to share. I picked this 22 inch kettle up for from from a garage sale as they were moving...

    Weber Q low flame troubleshooting

I have picked up a couple dozen Q's over the past few years with the same problem. Either replace the regulator or purge the moisture out. Sometimes i just remove the regulator and orfice and connect to a tank and flow gas. (Not safest way) and do this a few times till moisture stops coming out...
