It has been a long time since I posted or commented on here, although read the threads at least weekly. This grill here would make # 450 for me since I started refurbishing Weber's in 2018. I picked this one up in Pensacola for $25 and it is in amazing, although dirty condition. If I am understanding the aging of this it is a 73-76 model kettle. If someone else can give me a more exact time frame that would be appreciated. I am thinking I will have it cleaned and ready for sale by Wednesday at the latest. I am not even sure of the color, it looks to be more green then black but maybe that is the fading? Again, as always many thanks to this group for given me the fever and for allowing me to be a sponge and sap up all the knowledge many of you have to offer.

Man, that's an oldie!

How's the bottom dampers? I think the one I inherited is into the 80s, but bolts have pretty much completely rusted through, Think one is still hanging on.

Bottom dampers are in very good condition, I will send pics of the completed grill.

Wow, 450 - that's a LOT of grills!
The handle looks great. Have you already started on it, or did it come like that?

Horace,

GREAT SCORE! That's a really nice one - a REAL Weber kettle for sure. Looks to me like it is definitely restorable. I hope you have fun with it.

We will look forward to seeing pictures of it when you are finished.
