    Grease Fires?

There is the potential for a grease fire on any grill or smoker. If you keep the grill relatively clean and use common sense you shouldn’t have any issues with a grease fire on the Smokefire.

    Substitute for butter on turkey

Hi everyone, I am planning on making my first turkey this year in my smokefire. Most recipes and guides suggest rubbing butter on turkey and/or injecting with butter. However, my son is allergic to dairy and I am looking for a substitute. Thanks for your help!

    What Brand of Pellets?

I just tried a bulk order for lumber jack. Ended up being under 8 dollars a bag but needed to order at least 26 twenty pound bags and have the inconvenience of needing to wait 2 months for the order to be fulfilled and pick it up from a local transit hub.

    Weber pellet bag.

Did you order direct from Weber? Would rather not pay for shipping.

    Labor Day Brisket

Smoked a 12.5 lb Prime brisket this weekend. Injected with Meat Church Holy Cow and rubbed with meat church holy cow and holy Gospel. First time injecting and was happy. I also saved some of the juices during my cook and combined with about a cup of extra injection to dip the brisket in. Worked...

Is it safe to purchase a Smokefire?

I personally love my Smokefire. I have had minimal issues since the updates and have made some of the best bbq I have ever made. I probably clean it more often than needed. I clean it after any cook of 7+ hours and otherwise clean it about every 3-4 cooks. Not sure if that is needed.

Going Caveman Style on the EX6

Dry brined and then seasoned with SPG. Smoked at 200 until 120 IT. Cranked it up to 600 and let the Smokefire magic happen. It was only a choice ribeye but came out better than many prime steaks I have had. I am still amazed at the flavor profile of the food that comes off this smoker.

Going Caveman Style on the EX6

Throwing down a 2 1/4” ribeye today. Thickest steak I have ever tried. Doing a reverse sear using CharHickory. Should be fun!

Did any of y'all get a gift from Weber?

I heard that today as well. Apparently everyone who bought and registered their grill. Jut going to take a little while for them to send all of them. Very classy!

Did any of y'all get a gift from Weber?

I got it today. I think it was given to all Smokefire owners who preordered the grill and registered it. Nice gesture from Weber.

New Front Shelf from the Fire Ring Guy!

I’m interested in how this works out. I know of someone who tried magnets under the table and the magnets lost their strength due to the heat. I just bought a set of magnetic hooks so that I can hang the top grate when not in use and was planning on attaching to the front shelf but am now...

    Smokeboost with Bear Mountain pellets

I sometimes use an ambient probe but didn’t for my cook yesterday. After about 5 minutes on smokeboost the temps began climbing and the grill said it needed to cool down to use smokeboost. It showed the current temp as it was “cooling.” Temp didn’t come down for about 40 minutes. Of interest, I...

    Smokeboost with Bear Mountain pellets

So I tried Bear Mountain pellets for the first time and had my first issue with smokeboost. The temp would not drop lower than 230 degrees (I had smoke boost running for 45 minutes).

How Long Will Your EX6 Feed Pellets On It’s Own

Just did a pork butt. One hour smoke boost, 13 hours at 225, and then 40 minutes at 400. Went through about 20 pounds of pellets.
