    WEBER 9mm SS grates

Trying to include pic with a ruler. To me, taking the slight indentation where "0" inches would be, the measurement doesn't seem to be 1/4 nor is it 1/2", so I will settle for 3/8" or slightly less. But next time at son's place I will measure Dave's grate width

    WEBER 9mm SS grates

These are thicker and quite heavier than the ones on the Costco grill. They r surely at least 9mm and as thick as my ones I used to have from Dave on my Silver B. I have used them a few times and a lot easier to maintain than the porcelain enamel

    WEBER 9mm SS grates

Hi I had purchased a set of SS grates from rcplaner a few years back for a restored silver B. my new grill came with the porcelain enamel grates and I was ready to order another set pf Dave's SS grates. Luckily, never won on a lottery ticket, I was talking to Weber about a parts issue, and the...

    Cabinet or open

Hi As mentioned picked up a E-335 that had some damage so great price and Weber Customer Support. Anyway, I cleaned the cabinet very well, and put 2 coats of Hard Shell wax in the cabinet. I sprayed Fluid Film anywhere where corners meet and down the wheel tubes. Hopefully this will keep rust at...

    Stainless Steel Grates

One last thing I think I read that the Weber SS grates are 9.5mm. Anyone have experience with them? Don’t know if they only fit the Summit??

    Stainless Steel Grates

I think I’m going to going to give the porcelain enamel CI a few months and see how they are. Although his SS on my old Silver B were so easy to clean

    Stainless Steel Grates

Hi I got in touch with Dave re: SS grates and am considering them. I also looked on Amazon and could not find anything that is a perfect fit. The Qualimetal ones are 9mm but they r 19.5” and it says does not fit my Genesis II E-335. Does anyone else make a 19” x 13.5” grate to compare? Thanks

    E-335 Deal

Thanks. I actually checked when my son came over and helped unload. Any ideas as best way to season the cast iron. I was going to oil them down in a utility tub

    E-335 Deal

Thanks Bruce for clarifying that. Sorry if I sounded confusing Any suggestions on best way to season the CI before I use them? I think I will leave the flat side facing up. I think will be easier to clean that way. All your suggestions are greatly appreciated ps My former Marine son is making...

    E-335 Deal

Hi long time absent. I managed to pick up a out of box assembled Weber E 335. I thought it was a good deal at $477 all in. my question is concerning the cast iron grates. I have always had SS by explainer but just curious how the cast iron ones are? Nice to be back. George

2001 lid design vs newer ones

So they sent me a new lid even though the part number was for the old style lid they sent the newer genesis/spirit lid. They only had Black. I like the black. I think it looks more distinguished

2001 lid design vs newer ones

It look like some kind of fading or could’ve even been some heavy carbon buildup but it wasn’t around the front it was only in the back anyway I believe the lids are guaranteed for 25 years so it might be worth giving them a call and explaining your issue

2001 lid design vs newer ones

Yes curious to what they will send but on the shipping form the part number was for the original lid. Here is what they wrote me. .... “ . The only color in stock for the Genesis Silver B LP, in mica colors (2000-2001) is the color black.”

2001 lid design vs newer ones

So what we need is the retro lid with a center thermometer. I do like the look of the vintage ones better, like an old '57 Chevy......This is the lid they sent me about 1 or so years ago...The thermometer went wacky so they wanted the serial number. I tried to explain that the serial number...

2001 lid design vs newer ones

Hi everyone Haven’t been on the site for quite a while so I hope everyone is well. I have a question I might’ve asked this before but if you compare the old Weber Genesis lids from the early 2000s to the newer ones you know the more squarish versus the more roundish ones. It seems to me that...

    Bone in Rotisserie prime rib

Thanks, I got it now, just loose foil(shiny side out) on the exposed part of the skewer. Did make the roast, after coating with kosher salt, rosemary, pepper and a few other spices, also I cut thin pieces of garlic and pushed them into the meat. Cooked at 200 degrees until meat registered 128...

    Bone in Rotisserie prime rib

I must not be seeing something here? If I wrap the complete skewer in foil and then try to push it through the meat it seems the foil will just bunch up on the part of the skewer that goes into the meat
