Thanks, that's kinda what I figured. "Officially" it maybe doesn't fit due to interference with the original intended method of holding the lid. Is the rotisserie a good purchase? What do you find yourself cooking most with the rotisserie?
I have seen a rotisserie available for 22" kettles and found what appears to be a fairly good deal. However on the Weber website it says that the rotisserie will not fit a Performer. Does anyone know if it can easily be modified to fit the performer or why it will not fit? I have a 22 kettle...
Interesting, I never even thought about butterflying it, I may have to try that sometime. We always have good results with our high heats, but I thought I would give "traditional" low and slow a shot just to see.
When I usually do a butt I do a high heat method. This weekend I would like to try one low and slow. I have a couple butts one around 8 lbs and one around 10 lbs. I won't have the time to spend 14 to 20 hours so I was thinking about cutting them in half and doing the low and slow. Any...
I have several pounds of cube steak just sitting in my freezer. What is a good recipe for cube steak? Is my only choice pretty much country fried steak, or is there more that I'm not thinking of?
Jeff
I remember seeing a post on here somewhere, where someone cut the legs off of their OTS to drop it closer to the ground. Essentially turning it into a large Smokey Joe, has anyone done this and have any advice or tips to share? Or at least remember where I can find the original posting...
Looks good, thanks for the reply. That piece looks to be about the size of the tuna steaks that the supermarket had, I'll have to give it a try soon. Ballpark figure, what would "very brief" be?
Thanks,
Jeff
Thanks all, I guess I just never realized that their items can change prices so rapidly. Chris, I will def order through the links listed on this page and I'll just keep my eyes open for another price dip. I can't wait too long though, I'm ready to start smokin.
Does anyone have any recipes and/or suggestions for smoked tuna? Recently I grilled Ahi Tuna basically following the recipe Chris A. posted, now we are just looking for a smoked variation maybe. Thanks
Okay there must be something about Amazon.com that I don't understand. We decided we were going to buy an 18" WSM from amazon.com. Thursday I came to the virtualweberbullet website and followed the link in the upper right corner of the main page. The price was 259.99, which we thought was...
