    26" Kettle

Good Morning; I've been a bit lax about posting here, but I had this 26" Kettle basically fall in to my lap last week. I took this off another drivers hands at my work since he felt it was beyond his ability to rehab it. I got this for $50.00. Prior reading has told me that these (N) code(1991)...

I'll be doing my first in Sept. and really look forward to it. http://www.ibcabbq.org/topbar/rul.html There was another post in...

Liquid smoke, any use at all?

I've only seen the hickory & mesquite versions of LS. Never use the stuff myself, or the 2 above mentioned woods. Way too potent for my liking.

    OTG Thermometer

I don't think that keeping the top vent "almost completely closed" is a wise idea. You might end up with a nasty "creosote" condition.

    OC BBQ Festival - 6/11/2011

Sounds like a good time for sure. I'll probably go to check things out but won't compete as I'm not a fan of the KCBS format.

[COMPLETED!]...Red Weber SS Performer Restoration... $20 CL score...[Now with pics!!]

I just have to say you did a fine job on the restoration. I really like the contrast between the red bowl, black lid and black cart. Very snazzy. Rustoleum makes 2000 degree paint although I'm not sure how good it is. http://www.rustoleum.com/CBGProduct.asp?pid=381...
