rotisserie grilling on a 2 burner Weber

Hi All, It's been a long time. I recently had to downgrade to a Weber E220 2 burner gas grill where the burners go north and south. Any tips on how to properly use a rotisserie with this setup. I'm dying for a cook jerk chicken!

the super lazyman's minion method /w an ATC

I have an 18.5 using a 12 inch saucer but should be a 14 since it sits in the bowl I'd rater have the lip over the bowl. I've never had trouble getting it to temp in fact I overshoot in the beginning sometimes. Also regular Kingsford blue.

Attaching the blower to the WSM - My idea

this is great! my heatermeter / pi is all done and I was just sitting here trying to think of how I am going to attach this without trying to bend metal. Is this an 18 or 22 inch wsm? I just fished a normal sized can out of my trash in the garage but its too cold and dark to head out under my...

How many PartyQ's are in use?

I bought it the day they came out now it looks like they come with removable/replaceable probes mind is fixed. I like it as I did not want to drop hundreds on an ATC that is made up of an $8 fan and some programming but just around $100 is ok.

So right now I have a party Q that has been great (currently waiting on my hetermeter board) I have been using this method for long cooks with my pq for almost a year now and it has not failed me yet. 1. load up your charcoal, pack it nice and neat for a long cook 2. move a couple pieces...

HeaterMeter v4.0 for RaspberyPi / Standalone

Great thanks I don't know why I thought the fan was bigger. So the recommended micro USB power for the pi is enough for the fan, boards and WiFi dongle? What is the recommendation for power? Cant wait. I think I am just going to mount it in a little Tupperware with a small powerstrip inside...

HeaterMeter v4.0 for RaspberyPi / Standalone

Great thread, thanks for all the info I already have a pi and can't wait to get started. I ordered everything except for the fan. One question how is the fan powered? And the hm controls speed? Because right now I have a little party q for my 18.5 wsm and bumping to a 10 cfm fan seems like a...

I am so pumped to get my freezer...what freezes well.

So finally my freezer is getting delivered this week. I am already dreaming about doing at least two shoulders for PP to food saver. Reading the forms PP freezes well. Does brisket freeze as well? I have only done one and was not terribly happy with it but now with the freezer coming on board I...

    little impromptu stuffed pork loin

thanks everyone... the idea came from a combination of different recipes I found on the internet improvising with what I had on hand. I could only imagine how much better it would have been if I used a more "goaty" cheese like chevre, never the less the goat cheese / fruit combo in food is a...

    little impromptu stuffed pork loin

So I had half a small pork loin in the freezer and poked around the kitchen to see what I had laying around to throw together. I wanted to practice cutting the loin and “unrolling” it like a roll of paper towels and much to my disappointment it fell apart in two pieces when I unwrapped it. At...

    Grommet Mod Question

I did the lamp rod thing and it looks great even got a little cap on it. It was not as difficult as some make it out to be I just used a couple layers of painters tape and a regular bit. BUT I'm too lazy to use it anymore. Threading it is a pain after the cook so I just put the lid on top of...

First Smoke and over thinking things already

Looks great. I love the basic baby back rib rub. Try that one next or go for a pulled pork using Mr Brown. you will never get bbq out again! At least not anywhere that dosen't have a pit with an old guy tending to it that has been there for 50 years.

    Gyros

Al pastor is the best. its cooked the same way as gyro in greece and some areas of the middle east. I think al pastor means something like Shepard style and was adopted from the middle east. Actually gyro in Greece is all pork just like this cooked on a vertical rotis. The meatloaf style we are...
