    How many butts?

Would love a followup on if those 8 butts fed everyone! I don't think I'd ever have an occasion to cook for that many but if I did, at least I'll know how many to cook.

Tips on cleaning old Smokey Joe?

I got an old Smokey Joe silver from a friend (has a wooden handle). But it's pretty dirty. I'm thinking it a mix of dirt and food bits caked on the outside. Any tips on getting this thing looking like new?

How to Mount Kettle on DIY Grill Table?

So it's just hanging by the handles? How's it holding up over the years? The handles didn't seem all that sturdy to me.

    Multiple Thermometer Probes?

Do you smoke with multiple thermometers? If so, which brands/models do you use? I have 2 kettles, and I have one maverick (which is working great for me). But I want to run both kettles for this weekend. I considered buying another maverick but I'm afraid they will run on the same frequency and...

How to Mount Kettle on DIY Grill Table?

Nice write-up, Darrel. Thanks for those ideas. Noe, are you talking about these? How many did you use? With any sort of hanging application, I worry the lip will eventually warp with all that heat and weight of the food, water pan, coals, etc.

    2014 Copper Kettle

Do you live near Lowes? They should have them on the show floor. I've seen it and I would say they're more satin finish. Definitely not glossy and definitely not flat. But then again, I like satin more than gloss.

How to Mount Kettle on DIY Grill Table?

Hey guys, I'm gathering material and drawing/thinking about plans for a custom grill table I want to begin building. One thing that I just can't wrap my head around is mounting the kettle. I plan on using a OTG. I've seen some others do this too, but they weren't really clear on how they...

Smoking another pair of baby back ribs tomorrow! Can't wait...even if I have to start at early in the morning to finish by lunch.

    14.5 on its maiden voyage!

Yeah, very nicely done. And I also want to complement you on your cook top in the background. Quick question about it though. Are those kettles supported only by the tabs on the side? Or do you also have braces/brackets as well?

Made my own Smokenator and then smoked some baby backs

After I got a 22.5" off Craigslist, I decided to try making my own Smokenator. Worked out great! I made some baby back ribs on it yesterday. Now to go make my own mini-WSM.

    Question about Expanded Metal

Tried searching but couldn't really come up with any solid answers. I swapped my old 18.5 kettle with a friend for his old Smokey Joe, in hopes of building a mini WSM. I'm currently researching charcoal holders, via expanded metal but I now have a question. With what I've been reading here...

    SoCal Griller

Hey everyone, I don't even know how I found this site but I'm glad I did. I'm returning to charcoal grilling and want to get started with smoking. I experimented with ribs on a 18.5" Weber kettle and it turned out decent. But now I want to really start smoking. I live in the SoCal area...
