Hey All of You 26.75" Kettle Owners

My 26 gets used the most (have three performers also). It is the one grill I would pick if I had to have only one. If you want something bigger and sets on four legs get a ranch kettle.

Who Else has a Ranch Kettle?

I have one. Got it off of craigslist. The space can't be beat. Plenty of room for ribs, chicken wings, and a CI oven full of beans.

    Ribs on a 14.5?

Not an issue at all. Used two of the brinkman racks and did 4 full racks (cut in half racks) Also can cook a turkey

ALERT - Weber Rib Racks that fit the 14.5

Agree on the brinkman racks for the 14.5. Did 8 half racks - some of the best ribs I have done.

    Early thoughts on the 14.5"

Thanks for the compliments on the turkey. Yes , the skin was crispy, and the bird was nice and juicy with the right amount of smoke flavor. Mike

I also really like this little cooker. Just did a 10 lb brined turkey on the top rack over the holidays.

Post a pic of your Pet (Dog) *****

Here is our six year golden Kally. This is after the 2 ft storm we had earlier in the year. We got her from a rescue when she was one - she is the best. Mike Kally after snow storm

    Two kettle rotisserie night

Troy is right - the SS roti ring is the cajun bandit ring. I used the smaller EZque basket on this kettle. The motor is a heavy duty motor that I bought from here. When I started using the ring a couple of years ago, I didn't like how the motor that comes with the Weber ring performed when you...

    Two kettle rotisserie night

I recently picked up a SS performer off of CL, and what better way to break her in by spinning a couple of chickens. We had some neighbors that just had their first child, and I remember how hectic it can be the first month or so. My wife and I didn't have too many home cooked meals when my son...

    Grate bracket mod for WSM

Walked in a Home Depot last week and saw WSM. I guess you could hang your tools off of them if you put it together like this. I had to upload some pics - all four were installed on the outside of the cooker. Even my wife cracked up laughing. Home Depot WSM build another shot Mike

Four racks of beef short ribs take on the WSM

I planned on cooking these today with some simple rub but rain has been pretty heavy on the east coast - will start them tomorrow am and decided to marinate them. Trimmed the racks this morning and began marinating in Kirk's Redeye BBQ Mop (pg 74 of Champ BBQ). Two racks will get Kirk's Texas...

Whole rack of beef short ribs

Thanks Rich. I have cooked spares numerous times. I did some over Memorial day using a chinese 5 spice marinade with shaoxing cooking wine. This is a really nice way to do spares if you are looking for something different. My wife is from Shanghai - she likes bbq but does recommend something...

Whole rack of beef short ribs

Recommendations on how to cook these. I bought a cryopack (4 racks - 15 lbs) for the weekend. I have made Korean style with the flanken cut (grilled) but I want to cook these on the wsm (low and slow). I am thinking of marinating a couple and putting a good rub on them. They should take around...

    El Gaucho Lump Charcoal

Chris, I bought it from a C-Town supermarket (in Plainfield off of South Avenue). They have a huge stack of it. I got the Humphrey's lump from Fred's bBQ store in PA. This past winter when I was getting low on charcoal I took a road-trip to PA to hit Cabelas and Fred's. He has several different...

    SS green performer

Jason I'm in northern NJ - this isn't the one you are checking out. Yes the SS table performers are nice- I had the oppurtunity to get one last fall - also a green one. That one was more money and there was considerable rust in the cart. The bowl and lid for these is the same as the current...
