I find his style a bit insulting. As far as Lump Vs Briquettes, I know a guy from out here in So Cal that just beat 159 teams at the Kansas City Invitational. Scoring Reserve Champ 2nd place using Kingsford Blue Bag (Minion)and two WSMs. The great thing is it was sponsored by Royal Oak. In my...
At competitions I plug the stoker to a router and then plug the laptop to the router. Once I plugged the stoker to the router and let my laptop pick up the stoker from the router wireless and guess what? I lost the signal and after many beers forgot that the vol on my laptop was off and...
Dang, I just gave mine to the goodwill thrift store with a box of junk.
Because they are junk. They barely hold anything.
Take an 18.5 in or smaller rack like one from a smokey Joe and some carriage bolts from Home Depot for the legs and you will have yourself a way more functional rack. Ive...
Thanks Amir.
I'll give it a try. I get two windows the first has pit temp 1 food one and food 2.
The seccond window is only showing pit temp 2.
I'll mess with the food probe names to get two probes per screen.

Thanks guys. I realy appreciate it. I can definatly taste the K when cookin a briskit, and ribs. I can't taste it with a shoulder though. My team mate uses a BGE for ribs and he can definatly taste when I use K vs lump. I also learned but haven tried to strategically stack the the same size...
You guys using briquettes or lump. If lump, does it hold as well briquettes. Lump sure doesen't hold consistent temps too well compared to Kingsford, without a fan. I'm hoping the fan will gice me consistent temps with lump. If not I guess I'll just have to stick to briquettes.
Mines on the way. I bought the dual system. with the 5cfm fans for both my 18 and 22. I read more and more that the 5cfm will work just fine for the 22. I generally cook below 275 and live in So Cal. I also have read the folks are using a 5cfm for UDSs as well. My set up will enable all 4 and...
Hi Folks.
There is nothing like a Brisket with Royal Oak Lump and lots of Red Oak. To get some sleep I have switched back to K but my Brisket just doesn't taste as good. I am hoping (and for competition sake) that I can get burn consistency equal to that of Kingsford using a stoker. My stoker is...
James. Thank you. You saved me $30 on two smokers. On my WSMs I'm going to drill out the vent plate rivet and use that whole for the bolt, freeing up all 4 holes and removing the vent plate all together. Using a small drill to drill out the rivet will not cause you to cut into any porcelain. If...
