    Unpleasant mold discovery inside my WSM

    I have only had mold once(so far!). Just used my weed burner, ran flame over everything, then wiped it off. Pretty much what I do to clean my WSM anyways.

    Darryl, Any Home hardware store will be able to order the Kingsford charcoal for you. My local one stocks it year round.

    Andy, You should be able to get Kingsford at any Home hardware or Metro store. My local Home hardware carries it year round, it is seasonal at Metro. if your local Home hardware doesn't stock it, ask them to get it for you, no additional charge.

    Whole pork shoulder

    I frequently do a whole shoulder (16-20 lb range) in my 18.5 WSM. No problems fitting it on the top rack,haven't tried to put one on the bottom rack. I don't turn it, and cook it skin up for about 12 hours, gets to 190 internal.

    Did you put the whole bag in at the beginning of your cook? Did you shut/close all vents when your cook was finished to smother the remaining charcoal? How did you start your fire, and how much lit did you have going?
