Yea, it's a dirty job, and no matter how hard you try you'll still get greasy, sooty hands from handling the grates, water bowl or charcoal.
Gloves to me are a hassle especially in summertime, so I always keep a jug of this outside in the garage.

I like it because you can use it without water, just wipe your hands off on a shop towel, and it does a fantastic job on grease and grime, and it smells good too.
