You know you're getting old when...

I think I ate at McDonald’s #1 & #2.
One was in Downey California and the other was at the Ford museum in Dearborn.
It’s been years but I think I did.

I thought that McDonald's started in California and they even had the golden arches there.
The Ray Kroch version began in Des Plaines IL on River Rd. Just north of Dempster (or as I used to call it Dumpster) St. The Mc Donalds bros began in CA But the corporation's first stand was in Des Plaines and it's headquartered in Oakbrook IL

At work I was volunteered to train the new person that they hired. He happens to be 19 years old. We were talking about a wide variety of different subjects. I told him my age, and different things he had no idea what I was talking about the town how things use to be etc etc . Out of the blue he said you were born in the 1900's. This had to be hours after I told him my age. I was like almost everyone here was born in the 1900's like Iit became Jurassic Park. You know you're getting old when.....

(I think I already posted thus in Humor but it seems appropriate here)

My grandparents were all born in the 1890’s.

Growing up in the 60’s, I always considered that being from an earlier century made them special.

Doing quick math tells me that the time span is similar, but somehow being born in an earlier century doesn’t carry the same impact.

My two sons were born in the 1990’s through.

I am pretty sure I won’t be around in the 2060’s to ask their grandchildren what they think, lol

Fwiw

Where I work, many of my co-workers as well as my boss are around the same age as my sons, or even younger. I have to be careful how much I refer to "how we used to do things", or a get a "there's a frog on your head" type of stare.
