Who needs training? It came naturally for me.
Me too!Who needs training? It came naturally for me.
Did they tell you you were a fast learner?Right after I retired and drove for Uber part time, I’d tell people that I was a “curmudgeon in training”
1st Golden Arches Mc D's is in Des Plaines IL and is now a museum.I think I ate at McDonald’s #1 & #2.
One was in Downey California and the other was at the Ford museum in Dearborn.
It’s been years but I think I did.
The Ray Kroch version began in Des Plaines IL on River Rd. Just north of Dempster (or as I used to call it Dumpster) St. The Mc Donalds bros began in CA But the corporation's first stand was in Des Plaines and it's headquartered in Oakbrook ILI thought that McDonald's started in California and they even had the golden arches there.
At work I was volunteered to train the new person that they hired. He happens to be 19 years old. We were talking about a wide variety of different subjects. I told him my age, and different things he had no idea what I was talking about the town how things use to be etc etc . Out of the blue he said you were born in the 1900's. This had to be hours after I told him my age. I was like almost everyone here was born in the 1900's like Iit became Jurassic Park. You know you're getting old when.....

Where I work, many of my co-workers as well as my boss are around the same age as my sons, or even younger. I have to be careful how much I refer to "how we used to do things", or a get a "there's a frog on your head" type of stare. At work I was volunteered to train the new person that they hired.
