Hi everyone!
It's been quite awhile since I've posted. This is not my cook but I was recently in Japan and would like to share some pictures of the food I had while I was there.
First,a little about myself. I am half Okinawan and was born and raised in Okinawa,Japan and lived in Tokyo before I ended up in SoCal. My mom is Okinawan and I visit her and my friends that are still there every year.(It was every 2 years but mom is now 84 yrs old, so I'm worried about her and go back every year)
Today I want to share some photos of a couple of establishments my friends and I went to in Tokyo,Japan. The City of Ikebukuro to be specific. When my friends and I get together in Tokyo we usually go to 2 or 3 pubs to drink, eat, catch up,and talk about the good ole days. When we were getting our drinks and appetizers at our 1st pub I asked them to take me to the Yakitori place they took me last year.
And this is where we arrived @ Toyoda-Ya. They have far as I know 3 different stores in 1 city block and this one in particular is my favotite1

I'm terribly sorry on the quality of the pictures but all I had that night was my i-phone and being that this was our second pub I was a little tipsy! We ordered the standard Negima Tare, Negima Shio,Liver,****ake mushrooms,Shi****o Peppers and my favorite Teba Shio.
This is Negima Tare and the Shi****o Peppers

This is the Negima Shio and Liver

This is how most eat Yakitiori, with a dust of Shichimi

And this Ladies&Gentlemen my favorite Wings on a stick. Teba Shio. Grilled Wings with just salt.

This is another one of my favorite to visit to get my Ramen. I love it so much I go there sometimes twice in one day to get my Ramen fix.

This Ramen shop was established in 1961 in Kyoto, Japan. They have there original special soup and that's the the only Ramen that they sell. You can get get the soup thick or thin. I always get mine thick. By looking at the color of the soup one might think its made from pork broth but its actually chicken and 11 different types of vegetables.

And finally this is the Service Combo. All this for 10 US Dollars!

Again sorry for the under par pics.
I would like thank all the Veteran's past, present, home and abroad!
Thanks everyone for stopping by! Good Night!
