Workin' on my Night Moves, trying to lose those hungry for tri tip blues

With apologies to Bob Seger.

I think this one could have been graded Prime instead of Choice.

Gave it a heavy dose of Oakridge Santa Maria rub, wrapped it, and chilled it for a few hours in the fridge.

I wiped off most of the rub, after being on the counter for a couple of hours, and headed for my slippery cook area.

Poor baby, I won't let her on the deck until I can get the snow and ice cleaned off the steps.

Tri tip went on indirect with a little hickory for smoke.
Brooke and I went to the front yard, me to take a pic of Jo and Tyler's handiwork, she to write her name in the snow, or something like that.

Time to hit it!

Slice it!

Sop it!

And serve it!

Salt with garlic boiled golds, and asparagus for sides.

Tasted so good I started humming a song from 1962
Ain't it funny how the night moves.............

TT cooked to perfection and I'm sure Mr. Seger would rewrite his lyrics for a plate or two! Excellent job and the house decorations look great. Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Poor Brooke...she looks pretty pathetic looking out the window...I think she wants Tri tip too!!

Nice work Bob!!

" With points of her own sitting way up high, way up firm and high " Four times in concert with that man. All time favorite.

Looks like you have some fantastic Night Moves there yourself my friend, absolutely gorgeous TT.

That plated pic looks perfect!!! I think I'm gonna pull a TT out of the freezer for dinner tomorrow, thanks for the inspiration Bob!!

however....here's the BAD part
I think I would prefer to listen to tiny tim than segar

Bob, you are right, that tri tip looks like prime. And the pink when you were done it was fixed that way too. Your deck looks alot like mine. Esp with the cold & snow. Enjoyed the post. By the way another great looking hound dog. She looks pretty special.

Bob, the Tri looks great both uncooked, and even better cooked! If Jim wants to listen to Tiny Tim that's very telling! But I have a question.
There is a car sitting back behind the deck in the snow. Is that an 84 -90 Corvette sitting out there?

Or a Pontiac Sunbird? :) Whatever, I'm droolin' over the meal, not the car.
