Maribel made some delicious Pozole.....sorry it's not done on a weber or gas grill but it was cold outside. 55 degrees or so.

This is the simplest way to do Pozole and is by no means the traditional way.

This are the ingredients...

4lbs of country style ribs...(cut in 3 equal parts)
2 cans of hominy
1 can of red chile sauce
3 garlic cloves
1 whole onion
4 tbs of salt

Put all your ingridients except for the hominy and red sauce in a pot. Set stove to medium heat for 1 hour until the meat is tender not falling apart.

Then add the hominy and red sauce and taste for us it was 4 tbs of salt adjust to your liking. Then bring to a boil and your done.

Here it is plated with cabbage, chopped onion, radish and lime.
We added red hot salsa.

Nice!!! Your Pozole looks almost exactly the way my Wife makes it. IMO I don't think it would taste as good if the meat was smoked, it just wouldn't be the same.

I must be meant to make this soon. I randomly picked up some country ribs today while shopping and was trying to decide what I wanted to do with them. Thanks

Very nice dish looks delicious. Perfect meal for one of those socal friged nights;)

Yeah, Tony! Looks good. Regarding the weather in So Cal. I feel your pain (it's -9 degrees here as I write this:mad:). Well, we all gotta do what we gotta do:D. At any rate that soup looks GOOD!

Keep on smokin',

Nice cook on the pozole you guys. But, come on Tony 55 degree's outside and it's TOO cold? Your just teasing all of us right? Good thing that you don't live in Colorado my friend, you would definitely be freezing. LOL

Tony, you and Maribel sure have a great repertoire of recipes. It seems you never make the same thing twice and it all looks so good
