Wings 3 Wayz -OR- thank you Mr McGee

Decided to try Robert's method,,,, sauce-wise anyway, for jerk wings. I did about 50/50 walkerswood jerk paste & EVOO and let them sit for about 45 minutes, the rest were saved for Traditional Hot (with garlic & red pepper flakes).

Thanks - she's my pink little piggy (super short white hair & pink skin) and a lot of fun - I got her from the pound when she was about 8 months old (~Jan 16 2014).

I just weighed her: 78 pounds lol

Very cool photos (the one by the wildflowers is great!), and that's awesome about rescuing her from the pound, too. I have no dogs at the moment, only 3 cats, but all of them are rescues, 1 from the shelter and 2 brothers found abandoned as kittens. We rescue these wonderful pets, but they do so much more to pay us back. :)

I'm not saying there was anything wrong with the original photo, but I took the liberty of making some adjustments to this one - I hope you won't mind. It's a great view either way, this one just shows your friend a little better.

Also did not mean to hijack your thread and turn it into a discussion of your pooch!

no problems from the 'hijack' or the photo mod - I'm just a little lazy - I've been playing with both photoshop elements 6.0 & CS5.1 (work stuff) in the last 10 minutes.

I'm lazy when it comes to the pics - I've read a lot more than I understand, and I'm lazy when it comes to editing, so most don't turn out :)

A photo like this one is just hard to get perfect, editing or not. You've got so much brightness in the sky compared to the subject in the foreground... there are really only a few choices, and most aren't that practical.

1) Take multiple photos with different exposure settings and then merge them using software into a high dynamic range (HDR) image (not very practical since your canine companion is likely to move around during the multiple exposures)
2) Set the camera exposure for the sky in the background, then light the foreground with a fill flash (not at all spur of the moment)
3) Use image editing to try to adjust the levels.

At the end of the day, it a really cool moment you captured, and that's what matters. I'd much rather have a photo that doesn't ahve perfect levels than miss the moment fiddling with a camera.

Clint;
Thanks for the kind words! Now, tell me true, how did you like the Jerk Wings with sauce?

By the way, your wings look terrific - ALL of them!

Keep on smokin',

We thought the sauced ones were the best! This will be duplicated in the very near future. Maybe Jerk alongside Terriyaki..

Here's an action shot (and why I always crop my photos - my maid has been off duty for several years!): (this is my worker and my friend - tough combo, I admit)

...thanks for the edit- my preference between my edit & yours has been switching for hours! Glad you're on site --- I'm sure you'll learn as much as you share!

Love the wings, as you are the wing man.
I remember your first post about the pup, if I remember right you called her a "land shark" because she was chewing up everything in site.
What a lady she is now and I'm sure your best buddy.
Barb and I are going through that "land shark" phase with our new rescue. If Whitney can get her mouth on it it's good to play with. So far $300 to replace Barbs glasses she chewed up and last night I was taking a shower and she stuck her head in past the shower curtain to show me a raw potato she snatched off the kitchen counter. The most valuable command I've been able to teach her so far is "drop it" use it quite frequently.
She is getting much better and except for the glasses no real damage, but sure makes life interesting!
