Weber Summit Kamado E6 initial review

No excuse for what happened to that grate. But I'm wondering if the lack of stability might be due to the assembly. I know looking at grills (and other things) in Lowes, etc I'm sometimes amazed at how poorly they've been put together.

In terms of Weber Charcoal grills and smokers I have some iteration or version of everything they have or have offered, except a GA, Ranch and this. Never wanted the other two, but was looking forward to one day acquiring one of these..............perhaps used, on the relative-cheap.

Seeing this....?? I’ll pass, and one day make my 26er into a pseudo-Summit.

Hmmm. Nice car, uh where the steering wheel. Easy fix. Look forward to everything getting a comprehensive improvement

Wow! Not good. My youngest Weber is my performer at 9 years old. My youngest Weber gasser is 11 years old and the oldest is 35 years old and one at 22 years old .
Ever since Weber came out with the new Geneses series I've become very fond of my old fleet of Weber's I just don't see the quality in the newer models that exists in the older ones.
From the launch of the SmokeFire to the video I just saw today, not good.

Wow. What a shame they went so cheap on that model, comparing to a summit no wonder it wobbles.
FWIW it makes the SF look like a bargain!

Be interesting to see how that plays out over the years.

It's been a decade since that article was written. This. This is how it's played out.
Lol, oh well there you go.
Guess I should pay more attention posting at night, it actually sounded familiar when I read it. I think that they have more or less stuck to the family feel, as much as a corporation can.

Weber’s customer service is by far the best I have received from any company, ten years ago and today!

All I can say is Wow. The quality is no where near the quality as the Gen 1. I have the grilling center Gen 1 and I could see the differences from your video. While I can’t comment on the legs I saw a huge difference in your vent cheap and the housing looks lower profile. While you weren’t able to get to the diffuser in your video due to the grill breaking the part that I could see is totally different and looked very thin. I’d be curious what the charcoal grate looks like. Mine is super heavy duty and looks like it could last over 10,000 cooks seriously. The cooking grate might be cheaper too couldn’t tell but the fact that it broke speaks volumes.

Sorry to hear about this happening to you. I know you were really excited to get it. I am a huge fan of the Summit charcoals based on my experience, but after seeing this I am going to quit recommending this product line, and be thankful that I got a Gen 1...
