Evening folks..worked up an appetite so some steak salad was on the menu tonight...nice and easy!!

Enjoyed a nice cold PBR or a few while the grill was warming up!

Yep almost flip flop weather tonight!

Pups waiting for dad to throw the ball!!

Some Tri tip strips soaked in soy and horseradish ...bit of salt and pepper..24 hour soak!

Flip side!

Everyone sitting around a nice warm fire!

Plated up and yummy!!

Finished up the nite with some Jameson whiskey..killed the heat and added some hickory and smoked some almonds for Christmas!

Ya was a nice Tuesday nite!!

Take care folks..

A classic perfectly cooked meal, made me real hungry just looking at it. Sounds like a good marinade combo, got to try that.
Oh, between the shots of the pups and the Jameson it sounds like a great life up there my friend.

Nice, mid-week meal, from the melting north. Your warmer weather is scheduled to get to us by the end of the week...we'll see. Is there a recipe for the marinade, Morgan? You been using it with good results.

Brian...all I do is salt and pepper the meat, toss in a gallon zip lock with a small jar of spicy horseradish and add soy sauce till it looks like peanut butter..soak for 12 to 24 and fire it up!!

Try it!!

TT looks GREAT grilled up that way Morgan. haven't done a TT that way but will give it a shot after seeing yours. Looked fantastic. Your pups are so pretty, by the way what about those hawks?

Beautiful. You are living the dream right there.

Quick question.

Could you tell me how you did your almonds?

Excellent looking dinner Morgan!!!! Almonds prices seem to be through the roof this year compared to years past.

Sure Mark...did about 4 cups almonds (I get the 2 lb bags from Costco) in a gallon zip lock with 1/2 cup melted butter, a few twists of sea salt from a grinder...on the performer in a basket with a couple chunks of hickory at 300 for about 45 minutes..

Great stuff...there is another recipe in the cooking topics on the home page as well but I keep mine in the smoke and heat a bit longer!!

Take care!! Thanks again for the apple pie recipe!!
