Weber "Smoke" book

I haven't looked at it yet, but I have most of Jamie Purviance's Weber cookbooks. I've liked all of them and use them regularly.

I have the book, and it's is NOT a manual for using a WSM.
On the other hand, it is another great resource for beginning outdoor cooks.
The recipes are extensive and designed for all of Weber's products: kettle, WSM and gas grill. Each recipe is designated as best for one of those cookers.
I often go to the book when I am looking for something new or different to cook, and I am rarely disappointed.

Do you guys recommend this book? Just wondering,I am looking to buy a 22 WSM soon
Thanks Danny

I have the book and love it along with other BBQ cookbooks I use as references. I have tried several of the recipes and absolutely loved each of them. I look forward to trying other recipes as well.

...but as the others have said: it is not a WSM how to guide.

Danny,
I don't have it, but down thread here is a nice review by member James H.
Thanks for the link! And all your responses
I will buy this just to have it, I am new to the smoking and I was hoping it was a guide I am on a waiting list for Harry Soo's class
don't know when the class will be but I am going for it!

Danny,
Have a great time at the class. fyi... there is a class booklet. A great wealth of information is given, over and above the booklet contents. Take notes (you will be glad you did).
Also, Harry's doing a contest next door to you on the weekend of Aug 18th at the Westminister Mall.

I agree with Richard. I was a lucky winner of the book thanks to Chris and TVWBB. It is a great resource for outdoor cooking. I have read through most of the recipes and guidance and invariably open the book up every weekend - even when I am doing something simple, just to get Jamie Purviance's take.

Bob,
Thanks for the tips, do you have anymore info on the contest?
