My first attempt at hasselback potatoes.
WEBER Steak & Chop Seasoning sprinkled between slices, and on top of the bacon.

A basket full of K-blue with a chunk of peach wood to start.
The steaks and spuds were put on the WEBER Performer using WEBER tongs.

The bourbon, pork steaks, and corn were all excellent.
But the HB's were not done enough, even after over 2.5 hours on the grill.
Next time I'll par-cook, or cast iron 'em over direct heat.

WEBER's Original sauce is pretty good, not too sweet, not much if any heat.
It has molasses and no corn syrup in it.

Thanks for the visit!

Great looking meal Bob. I take it that you like Weber products

I too had the problem of getting my hasselbeck potatos cooked through. The pork steaks look delicious. Great photos.

Bob - as usual, great pork steaks. With all the Weber products you used I suspect that a royalty check is on its way.

Looks fantastic! Cant belive the HB`s dident get done in that time. I baked some really big hwole ones and they got done in 2h. Dident really temp the grill though

Thanks everyone!

Daniel,
Just had lunch, nuked one of the leftover HB spuds for about 3 minutes, and the sucker was still crunchy.
I suspect defective potatoes

sorry, butt true. (375º 4anHour)
What's in that fancy rocks glass photoONE?

Great lookin' pork steaks Bob!

I have found that pre-cooking HB taters in the microwave for 3-4 mins per potato really helps speed them up. Not sure, but I think using some sort of oil ( I use EVOO & butter with fresh gaaahlic and parmesan cheese) may help too.
