Weber Parts Deals

I previously almost never use tongs except an earlier Weber set that was a little more like a double spatula. More recently, though, I finally see the benefit of using actual tongs. I still flip burgers and some other stuff with a spatula. For me the fork is what goes unused. Looks cool, though!

Here they are. 24 years old! The tongs have been used continuously. Who knows how many thousands of pounds of meat they have grabbed! Anyone know if this company is still around? These things have been so sturdy IMG_0580.jpegIMG_0581.jpeg

Just to keep this one going... Bruce posted in a different thread... Silver B Grease tray & hanger/pan/liners $40

I just got my two today. I opened one and am very happy with it. It is an awesome solution for a flip grill. For most people, it would be a great solution for a personal grill as well. Do I think it is as high quality as an original Weber pan? No. But it a nice porcelain coated grease pan. It isn't as shiny as an original weber. It looks to be very similar to the Genesis 1000 pans that @MarkCuda had posted several days ago.
Bottom line is that I would prefer one of these over a rusty original pan that needed "touch up" or even a full coat of paint to hide rust and make it look nice. For $40 and a bonus drip tray, bracket and ten aluminum liners, it is a great deal IMO.

Oh, I was pleasantly surprised in how well they were packed as well.

If the x000 ones like Mark bought were $40 with the drip tray, bracket and pans, I would likely buy 4 or 5.

The price for the x000 GrillParts.com one - with no extras - is pushing it to me other than for a "keeper". I guess one of my first projects after tax season is to get out all of my x000 large drip trays and assess how many are worth "touching up." If I conclude that I am short, I may then take a stab at buying one or two of the new ones from GrillParts.com.

At least we know they're good on returns. Might be worth the Gamble

That looks pretty nice to me. I'm thinking of getting one for my latest Genesis Gold which needs both drip trays anyway.

I was perusing amazon for griddles and ran across this half/half grate for Q200/2000 if anyone is looking for one....
I haven't touched the two Qs I picked up ~3 weeks ago yet, but this deal has me thinking.....

Guys, I just wanted to update. I had @MarkCuda over for a 4 hr BS session today and I showed him the drip pan. He immediately noticed a couple of spots that were odd. In the creases in two places it was clear that they "touched up" a couple blemishes. The paint they used was clearly a different shade. Much darker than the pan porcelain. I think looking at it in full sun was the key. They were not large spots and I won't be returning them, but I wanted everyone to be aware. If this was a keeper grill, I would be returning them. But they will be rehabs and are still better than almost any of the original drip pans than I have in my stash. I haven't even opened my second one yet, but I will be interested to see if that was "touched up" as well.

Thank you Bruce! This type of information is priceless!

The damaged one Mark got also appeared to have touch ups on the damaged areas. I imagine these are shipped over in a large crate and then individually packaged by the seller.

I did open the second one that I got. I did not see any "touch ups", but there were a few places where it looked like there was some kind of debris on the pan before it was porcelain coated. I get the impression these pans are not the highest quality overall, but for the price, they are not a bad deal.

I guess this explains it:
