If the knobs and igniter color don't match well for you, the original gray, maybe even with a red accent, would still look good on this grill IMO.

I think you found an ideal balance. I at first I liked the idea of doing the front screen in red, but now agree it looks better in stainless.

With the other red added, I think the silver handle looks great! I wouldn’t be opposed to seeing a nice custom wood handle on it either! But I think it looks awesome! Something way different, that works well!

I'm taking the ones off my Genesis Gold-C that I restored last summer.
I'm pretty sure they are RCPlanebuyers grates.
If they are not, then they are the 9mm Qulimetal ones, it's almost impossible to see the difference between 3/8 and 9mm, at least for me it is.

No I didn't, I was in no hurry to sell it.
The frame was sandblasted and powdercoated.
I might strip it down and redo the cookbox, this was back when I was first getting into rehabs/restorations.
The second time around I would do a few things different.
