Hey, Mark, I just wanted to throw this out here for your consideration. Apart from those tanks requiring inspection periodically, which you are probably already aware of, they also have a seal inside the connection. I had one go bad on me and I looked high and low but could not find a replacement seal...I think because the propane companies don't really want DIYers attempting repairs. Anyway, the only ways to get past the bad seal is to either use it with a soft-nosed connection, or exchange it for another tank or tank fitting. Maybe it would be better to paint those tanks rather than invest in powdercoating them.
