Just make sure the rattle can is made for direct to bare metal applications. Otherwise you’ll have a rusty mess of a rack… given I don’t foresee this rig setting out in the elements much.

That being said I’d ask your powdercoater if he’s done the sideburner lid yet. More cost effective to run a couple pieces thru versus 1.

Maybe you can plasti dip it. That stuff does come in colors i.e. red. That would make it impervious to getting beat up

Larry, I have used plasti-dip spray before. It is not the kid you actually dip stuff in. But it is not all that durable.
If you used the kind that you actually dip stuff, then yah. It goes on super thick, but the spray is just way too thin.

I meant the dip stuff. Had no clue they made a spray. Or perhaps pickup truck brush on bed liner

Just got back from my powdercoater with some prices.
The two 20 pound tanks=40 each.
The sideburner cover and the bottom tray is $60 for both.

I think the sideburner cover and lower grate are absolutely worth it. The tanks would be more difficult to justify, but the end result of all of them matching would be beautiful!
