Yes, to my eyes, the red looks way darker than the lid is.

Mark, do you have any left over SS tubing to experiment with? I have been thinking about how to try and clean up the grinder marks, if they bother you enough to attempt to fix?

Cody, the grind marks don't bother me at all.
It adds character to the grill.
If I was to grind/buff out the grind marks, I think it would take a lot of time but no, I'm OK with the grind marks.

You could always grind the whole thing to make it look like some of that contemporary/trendy furniture. That could look kinda cool.

Lid sides are now painted, the silver sure goes on different than the black does.
Also cleaned up the drip tray, it was in remarkable shape.

Much more easily/easier, it's also a Ultra can exactly like the black.
On my flippers, I'm going to use the black but in the non Ultra cans but a non Ultra black can does not come in semi gloss or satin.⁸

This is what I decided on for utensil hangers, I know, they aren't unique like i wanted but are simple, not sure if I'll weld them or screw them on.
3 on each side.

I would probably just use Stainless steel screws. But, you could drop a tack weld inside each hole and gently grind off the excess.

I ordered this from Amazon today, 1 day shipping it says.
Total was a tad under $18, my grill has one but by the time I get it blasted and powdercoated, the price would be well over 18 bucks.
