Mark, it probably will be OK, but good thing is that if want to swap those wheels out for smaller ones, it wont be hard with those brackets you welded in the bottom. Also, you could always shorten the legs a bit as well.

Remember what I said about trial and error, 41 inch grill grate higth is a tad to high for the shorty cook
Thank goodness Amazon has a free return policy on these casters.
I reordered some 3 inch casters, that should lower things a bit.

41" cooking grate height sounds about perfect for me! I could see where the misses would prefer it a bit lower! 2" drop in caster only nets 1" lower overall height.

I would consider taking 2-3" off the legs, and sticking with the 5" caster.

I think some stem casters may be in my future... I think I am going to have to bite the ol bullet and order some SS wire for the welder, too.

Ok, just my thinking, 3 inch casters would be so easy to change out versus cutting 2 inches off the legs and then reweldibg a 3/8 nut back on and make everything look pretty again.

Bought some stainless today, 12 inches square by 3/16 thick.
And some more 1 1/4 inch tubing to finish off the frame.

I just want a final weight measurement on that grill when it is finished. Those flimsy fat frames are going have nothing on that grill.
