Nah, Jim. A welder solves MANY more problems than it causes. Besides, I don't even think Mark considers it a problem, more like a challenge and one that a welder can help overcome.

All 3 burner tubes were cut and rewelded.
The knobs are perfectly in the middle of the control panels holes.
Now, if after I light the burners tubes and cutting and moving them don't bother the flame, then I'm happy.

Side burner works great.
Cody, cutting the burner tubes and then rewelding them was stressful, I won't do it again.
