before those were opened, two large chicken breasts were soaked in a Mexican marinade for nearly four hours...
...then seasoned with a Southwest style chicken rub...

...and fitted on the 18" avocado kettle inside the PV

yeah... pretty weak, but both were good & tasty grillin' meals.
Thanks for stopping by!

Not sure if "weak" is what I'd call it ...love when you fire up the green grill..actually this post explains so much! That is a huge yard and if you've hand raked that sucker that explains why you cook so much food!! Wow!! I hate raking almost as much as shoveling!!

Nice work Jim!!

thanks guys:)

Not a fan of those potatoes (the ones in the bag) I felt they were over seasoned and "fake" tasting.
I think you're right Joe... they certainly did not taste like potatoes

Morgan, I wished I had taken a "before" photo of all the leaves and branches in the yard... raking the leaves out of the culvert is the worst... wet and a ton of them there... I do have a lawn sweeper like this ▼ but doesn't work great with wet leaves.

Nice cook Jim, those are some interesting looking tongs hanging on the avacodo.
Mike, the handle broke off, tried gluing it back on, that did not work, so I just rolled the end to allow the thumb in to open the tongs. I don't throw away something broken if I can still use it.

You may call it weak , but it all looks good to me ! I'm not averse to using frozen spuds now n then , but I like the look of those baked yukons much better. As always , your place looks like a slice of heaven. Man , you got some room there.
I'm always curious how people make their living. I've worked for an electric utility since 1971 , may I ask what you do to keep the pigvillion in pork?

Doesn't look weak to me! All looks good! Nice spread Jim. Any deer back there? How does the BM taste? Need to get one of those Super Suckers to get all those leaves!

Nice food & nice cooks too. But that avocado green I just don't know. How about you chrome that thing Jim? WOW wouldn't that make it special?

Nice job Jim. Always like the pics of your property. What little yard I have is all covered in the white stuff.

thanks again guys:o

been a manufacturing production expeditor / planner for the last 25+ years at the same company

thanks Tim, ummm, yeah, there are deer in the area, however, today being opening day of gun season and the neighboring farmers taking advantage of the (cold but) decent weather, no shots fired during the plowing of the fields...

But that avocado green I just don't know. How about you chrome that thing Jim? WOW wouldn't that make it special?
Russ, if it were chrome, I don't think I could cook on it:p

sorry to hear that Mark...but our snow is right around the corner, i'm sure... today's high is 21ºF, which is what it is right now.

The Green Machine does it again! We still have plenty of leaves here but it's suppose to be 31 tomorrow and 18 tomorrow night so that should do it.

Jim, first off your yard looks great. Won't be to long until the snow covers it. Next there is nothing weak about that great couple of meals. I'm pretty sure you could make putting bread in a toaster look cool. You have been an inspiration since I found this great community. Love the retro weber too! Nice job as usual. Hats off to you.

thanks guys:)

Just a small piece of advice, run the lawn sweeper to remove some of the leaves, and just run your mower over the rest of the leaves, cutting them to small pieces. Early next spring, the earthworms will drag the pieces into the ground, digest them, produce free fertilizer and make your lawn look even more pretty. Works like a charm.

Love this post...you got to have a lawn sweeper...specially living out in the country! Great cooks too! Got to love these temps today...sunburst is making snow already!
