using TVWBB link to Amazon

perhaps only Chris Allingham can answer this question....

say, your wife has been online shopping on Amazon WITHOUT USING TVWBB LINK over the last 5 days and has 14 items in her "cart"

when it comes time to check out...
can i simply go to the link provided by TVWBB and pay for everything WITH THE CREDIT STILL GOING TOWARDS TVWBB?

I've thought about asking the very same question Jim.
I hope so since my son created an Amazon wish list for Christmas, I used his link to put a couple of items in my cart, then logged on via TVWBB to buy.

Jim, I think that works. Worse comes to worse, open Amazon in one tab, then open it in another. One by one, delete the ones one the non-TVWBB tab, then add on the TVWBB tab. A pain, but Mr. A gets his.

No, that doesn't work. The forum only gets credit for items added to the cart AFTER our link is clicked, not before. After you click our link, we get credit for items added to your cart until one of the following happens, in this order: 24 hours have passed after clicking our link; you complete the check-out process; you re-enter Amazon using someone else's link.

Solution: Empty the shopping cart by clicking "Save for Later" under each of the 14 items. Now, click the forum's Amazon link and go back into the shopping cart. In the Saved for Later list, click a product title to return to the product detail page and click the "Add to Cart" button. Repeat the process for each item in the Saved for Later list, then check out.

DO NOT CLICK "Move to Cart" in the Saved for Later list as a shortcut--the forum doesn't get credit if you do that.

No, that doesn't work, either. You have to enter Amazon using the forum link, then click items in your son's Wish List, add them to your cart, and check-out.

Solution: Same process as described above for Jim.

Remember that once you check-out, the slate is wiped clean. You've got to click the forum's Amazon link again before adding new items to your cart. That's why I recommend making http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect-home/tvwb-20?tag=TVWB-20 a shortcut on your desktop or adding it to your browser favorites for all your Amazon shopping.

Thank you Chris, for clearing that up.
i will add the Amazon/ TVWBB link short cut to her iPad.

Chucko, I got my Christmas present many years ago. ;)

Well, I appreciate everyone asking about this. All your purchases help, whether barbecue related or not, and even the smallest purchases can add up over time. Thanks again for your support via Amazon shopping!

How do I go to Amazon through the mobile format? I've looked for the link several times but have always had to use full site. Thanks.

The tabs at the top of the homepage that contain the Amazon link, as well as the Amazon ad on the homepage, are not part of the mobile template, so you've got to use the full site, as you've been doing.

Perhaps the best solution for a mobile user is to click the link http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect-home/tvwb-20?tag=TVWB-20 to get to the Amazon homepage, and once there add the link to your browser favorites or as a home screen icon and use that for all your Amazon shopping in the future.
