A few years ago a friend told me that most Mexican meat markets do the Carne Asada and chicken marinade using this 2 ingredients. Tampico punch and chef merito. I tried it today and it was alright. But It was missing something so I added limes and cumin.

Thanks for looking
Tony and Maribel

I can almost smell it from here, sure looks good, ...we've used your Carne Asada marinade twice, first on some Trri-Tip and last night on some flank steak, most excellent, I was like you, having tried numerous recipes and wasn't really satisfied, yours is very good, so let me thank you here.

Nice cook and plate Tony, why does Maribels rice look so d@mn good. Care to share a recipe?

Here's what she said....
Get 2 cups of white rice and brown it a little with oil in a pot.
Then add 3 cups of water and 8oz of tomato sauce. Add 2 tbs of knorr chicken broth(the powder stuff)
Taste the sauce add salt if needed.
Bring to a boil then let I the happy in a low flame for about 25 min.
