Tri-Tip Using Coconut Charcoal Briquets

I saw some tri-tip at the local supermarket today and pounced on it since it's not as widely available here in the northeast. I picked up a bag of Coshell Coconut Charcoal Briquets ($9.99 at Lowe's), as I've been wanting to try this stuff for some time. It seemed to burn pretty clean, and didn't impart any smoke flavor to the food, as expected. I don't have any complaints about the stuff after my first run with it, so I'll gladly keep on experimenting with it. On to the pics...

Seasoned with Dizzy Pig BBQ rub and placed on the grill:

As always, my gratitude for taking some time to check out the photos!

Tasty looking cooking Jerome. I still have a bag of the coconut briquettes left from when they were on sale down here. They are okay
for quick cooks but for me any low and slow I use KBB.

That's a great cook, everything looks wonderful. How many LBS in that bag for $9.99?
