thanks for looking......

Looks great SC! Vintage Sea Ray tray. Sea Ray wall hangings all over the garage. Hmmm. Is someone a boater? I owned a Sea Ray several years back - great boat.

well jim, im kinda a boater.. i am a parts and service manager of a sea ray dealership, have been there 18 years this year so.... boats are the last thing i think of anymore on the weekends, that is where my webers come into play!!!!!!

Looks good sir. I like mine seared just a bit more. Done to perfection. You got me pulling one out of the freezer this morning to fire up. Don't know what's prettier that tri tip or the that red headed Performer.

BTW - do not let your youngster mount that scooter before pulling it away from the "Leaning Tower of K"

thanks guys... i have cooked several of these since learning about them but have yet to sear one like most of you guys do on here.... i think i might be a bit scared to overcook it.... this one though, melted in your mouth....

Stuart, based on the height of that K-bag stack, you may wish to consider applying as a contestant on "Minute To Win It"....

Just out of curiosity, are they the result of a buying spree at the Home Depot sale advertised last week? I picked up two, by the way...

Oh, and the tri-tip looks delicious!

some of them from home depot some of them are from lowes.... and yes they werea ll purchased through the year on sale!!!! and i think i may need a few more before entering the minute to win it show!!!!

Nice job Stuart,
Try the Sear next time, I think you'll enjoy it. BTW what year is the Redhead?

mac, it is a 1999 model... i picked it up off cl... it was pretty nasty when i got it but just a little degreaser and polish and it looked like new... i use it almost everyday.... oh and found a place that would refill the original bottle for me and it works perfect......

Nice tri-tip cook!

With your charcoal all stacked up like that it almost looks like one corner of my garage..

Looks very tasty all cut up and plated. Glad you took advantage of the 2-pack deals that are out there lately, I grabbed 4 bags yesterday myself!

Anyone know why the tri pictured would look significantly different from what is sold out here? The one here is (ok, this is going to be rusty geometry, but I'll try anyway) isosceles? (looks like a textbook triangle) whereas what I buy is always an obtuse triangle with one really long side, one a bit shorter, and a very short one. Almost like a boomerang.

Like this...

tim, they sell the cut like you are talking about at costco in my area. i go to publix which is a grocery store here and have them cut mine for me, they have always looked like this for me????.... when i first started looking for these no one around here knew what they were except the manager at publix.... the ones at costco are already marinated in something and dont look to appealing to me...
