Those were the days my friends...

I was at Sam's last week and packers were $ 7.98 per lb.
I saw a big screen TV that was a better deal.:D

Ouch!
Maybe my, in the freezer, Prime grade, $3.89/lb Costco brisket will go on eBay soon!
Need to go there soon, will report back on current prices.

I paid $2.999 per gallon of gas today. I never thought I'd see gas for <$3 ever again

Have you ever "shopped The Pig"?
I have and I don't.
We don't have PW stores here, thought they were only in the south.
Never been in one myself.

At least I know Jim appreciates Schnucks 'inventing' the pork steak. :)

Are you playing hooky today bro?

Back in 1939 when the Schnuck family opened their first grocery store here I guess they wanted the family name for the store.
Sounds better than Piggly Wiggly, no? :p
Maybe to the family it does, but "Only the schmucks shop at schnucks" keeps running through my head.
When my grandparents moved to Arkansas in the 50's there was a Piggly Wiggly about a mile up the road from their place. Just looking at it made me laugh
as a 5 year old.

Popped into Wally today to get some bolillo rolls.
I don't buy meat there but checked out the brisket.
All they had was untrimmed, vac sealed, halves from the flat end, and were $6.98/lb.
Untrimmed tri tips were $5.98/lb.

Just got back from Costco, and ours still has Prime brisket packers for $3.89/lb.
Untrimmed vac pac brisket flats were $6.89/lb.
Didn't buy any, but did get a fresh 20 lb. Butterball turkey at $1.09/lb.
