"the picture is what it looked like new. it is not so shiny now. i reckon there's at least another year of intense use in this baby. and I know because it's my third.
it has one half melted wheel, so it doesn't roll around like it used to.. it also has a partly burned side handle. that was dripped onto the wheel and set that alight. long story worth telling over a beer, maybe.
there is some rust showing through the enamel on the side, but this is aesthetic. but will become structural over time. that's why i estimate another 50 bbqs or one year.
on the plus side, it has a thermometer in the lid that I mounted to see if i could smoke or slow cook briskets. I could, and they are delicious.
i am reluctantly rehoming this baby (which has followed me from Buffalo to Houston to St Louis), giving me an excuse to drink beer while preparing deliciousness all the way. as if you need an excuse!"
