.....known as Grand Theft Smoker !!!!!

My neighbor and I were having cocktails in his backyard, he wanted to show me a smoker he got a few years ago that he never used. Knows that I smoke a lot, so was excited to show me the smoker he spent $2K on......yes a Summit Charcoal !!!!

Looked at the inside, literally has never been used. So being the good guy that I am, asked him if he was getting any value out of it, and should I take it off his hands....we agreed on $800, he even threw in a cover, a bag of Royal Oak and two canisters of propane for the gas assist.

Wife wasn't sure we needed a new smoker, but too good a deal to pass up. And another friend thinks I basically stole it, lol. But I did promise to cook some good food for him, so we're all good !!!

A new Performer Deluxe is $439 this year; previously it was $399. If that SCGC was double to triple the price of the Performer Deluxe (instead of FIVE times the price), I think there would be a lot more of them on patios everywhere, including mine.

Clean living. Good karma. Walked a lot of little old ladies across the street as a Boy Scout. Whatever the reason, you got a great score! Congratulations!

One note: Either the charcoal storage bin and scoop are missing or just not in the photo.

Yeah, $1500-2000 is a lot for a charcoal grill.

Spend $329 for a 26 inch Kettle, and you've got a lot left over to spend on a fancy side table...

No. You got a great deal. That summit is a super sweet grill. I’d love to have one.

But I never will have one. Because $2k is a crazy high price as compared to other available options.

Similarly, I will never own a Bentley either. Which are also super sweet. Enjoy!

You could probably flip for a nice profit. The key is finding a local buyer. But someone might make a sizeable drive for something like that.
