Thick Pork Chops

A couple of 1.5 inch pork chops that I picked up the other day. I also received my shipment of
Wickers BBQ Marinade and the Simply Marvelous Cherry rub that day. This was the first time using
both. I have heard great things about both of them, especially the Wickers, so here goes. I
originally planned on cooking them last night, but due to unexpected plans my wife made, they
stayed in the marinade for 48 hours.

Chops onto the Performer, using my normal RO lump and a small split of cherry wood and using
my grill grates.

Given a small basting of homemade BBQ sauce and then pulled at 145 internal.

These have to be the best pork chops I have cooked! The flavors were out of this world! All the
hype about the Wickers is true in my opinion. The dusting of the cherry rub was the icing on the
chop! Very delicious Thursday night dinner. Thanks Jim Lampe and Bob Correll for turning me onto
the Wickers. Got some chicken ready to go into the Wickers marinade in the morning.

Thanks for looking!

Those are monster chops... Mind sharing your Jillienes potatoe recipe?? Your meal looks delicious.

Good looking cook there, Mike.
Like you, the Simply Marvelous Cherry rub is excellent. Then again, haven't met a Simply Marvelous rub I didn't like...

Great-looking plate, Mike! The potatoes look nice and cheesy!

They weren't unexpected, you just weren't listening when she told you about them. At least that's how it is in my house...;)

Mike if they tasted even half as good as they look, I'm jealous! Great looking chops from the get go but you obviously improved on them.

PS - UNCLE!!!! I just ordered the Wickers. :)
