That is an awesome Westerner! North of $1000...... easily. Too many people between the sites that are going to be gunning for this one.

$1025 and still 4 days to go! It's certainly a rare one but that's Ranch Kettle money, too...almost makes me wonder if Weber-Stephen itself is one of the bidders! Being a survivor like that I wonder if the auction winner is only going to clean it up and display it as-is.

Not from Texas, and if I was, I still wouldn't buy it!
To each his own. I'm sure you would buy some things I wouldn't buy as well. I can say it will probably sell for top dollar (The speculation is well over $2000 right now) and be worth even more a few years down the road. I'm a grill trader though, it's my hobby and I have been doing it for several years now and the California market is always good.

When I visited Weber HQ in 2008, if I remember correctly, they had a Westerner on display in the office. But the Weber family members have been known to purchase some of the harder to find old grills for their personal collections, so who knows who all is bidding!

Shaun, I know your love for Weber, I hope you get it.

Here's another photo.

This auction has got me thinking about how much people will spend for a grill of their dreams. I was wondering what grill people on here would love to own and what is the most they would spend to have it.

The grill of my dreams is a performer and I have two of them. I paid whatever the retail price was in 2005.

350.00?

I'm not really a kettle collector and would not buy a grill i wouldn't cook on. I have enough stuff taking up space like 70s stereo equipment and my record collection. If I started collecting Weber Kettles, my wife would not be happy!

Do you think that a collector who buys it for 2 grand would really cook with it?
That kind of money would buy a lot of things that I would really use. Now lets see,
like maybe a dozen stainless performers to circle the wagons around that westerner!
