30 some years ago, before I moved here to NC, my roommate came up to me Friday December 23rd and said he had a problem
When I asked him about it, he said that he hadn’t done ANY of his Christmas shopping and wanted my help. WT?!?!?
He did at least have a list and we whittled it down to good friends and family
He was notorious for not getting up early on the weekends, so I told him that he had to be ready at 7AM, with NO grumbling! He was buying breakfast AND lunch, some beer for me and gas for my car
And most importantly, we would NEVER EVER do this again!!

From one who was in retail for more time than I’d like to admit, that is a very true statement. By noon on Christmas Eve, there will be NOTHING but MEN shopping! I sold a LOT of diamond earrings on Christmas Eve!
