Western and northern MN are rather unpleasant at the moment, and this morning in southeastern MN, the roads weren't particularly pleasant. I had a tire appointment this morning, and had a slow drive on the highway, including a few miles behind the salt trucks. The ramp.... very slick. The guy behind me negotiated it just fine, the car behind him, not so much. I heard his horn blow, looked in the rear view mirrors, and saw a sedan started to rotate out of control behind him. Okay, the cross street is starting to clear, hit 4WD, oh, good, the sedan did finally manage to recover control.
Turns out the guy behind me was going the same place I was, and he headed my way first, to let me know he wasn't griping at me, but letting me know things were up. "All good, man."
Oh, and the western end of da YooPee has gotten slammed pretty well. One of my g/f's coworkers is from Ironwood, and at 9:00 AM, her Dad had been plowing snow since midnight, and the city was without power.
