Table for the 14" WSM

In my other post on the stools I posted a photo of my mini-wsm table. Originally designed for my mini-wsms, but now used exclusively by my 14. There seemed to be some interest in it so here are some photos from when I built it in 2013. I used slats from pallets that I had sourced for a fence. I had to buy the whole lot and when the fences were complete I still had a pile of boards. Those leftovers turned into many projects.

Here's version 1.0. Standard concrete paver on the deck. Keeps the deck safe but from heat but one still has to bend over to work the pit.

Here's version 2.0 a bit better but not much.

The final version.

Here's the particulars in photos. This was a quick build and I had a bunch of material to work with. It could be simplified a bit to make the frame lighter and use less material.

16" high, which puts the top grate of the wsm @ around 40".

The paver I used required 18" square opening.

I can't remember if I glued it or just screwed it together. Typically I would glue and if I did I would have used Titebond 3. I used Kreg screws, but did not use the jig.

Needs a spring spruce up! 7 years of living outside!

Here's a review from Amazon. It says 14 wsm will fit. I have the same table but it's at my campsite which is currently under "hell" conditions so I won't be going out there to measure it any time soon!
