The German potato salad sauce was put into a church cookbook by our sister-in-law.
But the recipe came from my late, German heritage, mother-in-law.
I had some sauce frozen, and added onion and bacon to the potatoes with the warmed sauce.

Happy to hear that Steve!
Of course you can make it your own with other additions, celery, sweet and/or hot peppers, green onions, etc.
I like cider vinegar for the base, but that can be changed too.
