Sunday's One Buck (lb.) Cluck

[Bob Correll]

98¢ per pound whole chickens, on sale this week at Shop 'n Save stores.
($1.88/lb for StL cut spares this week too)

Rained most of the day, but cleared by cook time.

Bird rubbed with Tasty Licks (thanks DW, great stuff!)
Fired up the blue pac-man with peach and hickory wood for smoke.

Also cooked the liver with butter and seasonings for a snack.

Prepared some skillet spuds using my favorite birthday gift, a Henckels chefs knife.
(Love it!)

While munching on the liver, my feathered friends arch rival, Mr Squirrel, showed up.
So I shot him, with a camera that is.

Chicken bird is done.

Spuds are done.

As you know who would say "Let's EET!"

One of my better efforts, very moist, and flavorful.
The dark things in back are part of a large portabella grilled with butter and Weber's Steak/Chop seasoning.

Bob, love the whole post as always (except for liver) I've never had very much of it and what I have had didn't impress much. LOVED the pic of the in laws.
