Evening folks..I had a real hankering for good ole BBQ but motivation just wasn't there..too much pre/during/post gaming yesterday to be effective..that's ok..my boy has been bugging me for 3 days for wings..he really digs them..so!!
I soaked a dozen wings and two chicken breasts in stubs chicken citrus and onion for about 8 hours.

Whipped up a tater salad today, little house work..watched some football, the boy and I went to the pool..watched more football!! Enuf..let's cook! Finally started feeling human again so poured a nice Alaskan stout and got some coals fired up!

Broke out the red head...loaded two coal hoppers and some apple and killed the vents ...added the chicken!

Doing her thing...nice quite evening...nothing but snow blowers for background music!

I heated up the marinade and basted about every 15 till done!

About done 45 minutes in!

T man can hardly control himself!

All plated up with a fresh brew, tater salad, orzo salad, bushes southern style baked beans in my latest lodge ware(these beans needed no doctoring up!!good stuff right from the can)!

All in all good stuff! Wings were perfect, crisp, no sauce needed..breasts..well I should have taken out thighs...sides perfecto...beer..top notch! Good meal!

Take care folks and thanks for looking!

Morgan - excellent shots!! Loved the brew you nursed while cooking (Alaskan makes a mean stout, for sure), but what brew did you pair with the meal?

Thanks for sharing!

The oatmeal stout is one of my favs..the meal brew was a Deschutes red chair....something a bit lighter but still full of flavor!

You said it! That's a brew that pairs wonderfully with baked beans, ribs, grilled foods, etc. But, it also pairs very well with pizza! It's another excellent beer from Deschutes.

Well I woke up Sunday morning,
With no way to hold my head that didn't hurt.
And the beer I had for breakfast wasn't bad,
So I had one more for dessert.

Beautiful bird cook and sides Morgan!
